Alaina Hagy

Alaina Rae Hagy, PT, DPT, COMT, Cert.DN, practices at the Briargate location of Action Potential Physical Therapy.  Alaina graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2002 and with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2005.  In 2007 she earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA.

Ever committed to further developing her knowledge and skills through post graduate training, Alaina also holds certifications for Trigger Point Dry Needling, the LSVT-BIG program for Parkinson’s disease, and for Student Clinical Instruction through the APTA. She has practiced as a physical therapist since 2005 and as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist since 2008. Alaina is currently a Fellow-in-Training as she completes her fellowship with the North American Institute of Manual Therapy.

Beyond her formal continuing education, Alaina revels in the daily lessons that her patients and her professional role provide her. In the last eleven years, while practicing in Tennessee, Virginia, and Colorado, she has been afforded the opportunity to treat patients ranging in age from 3 months to 103 years with conditions just as diverse. Alaina enjoys treating the spectrum of ages, conditions, and injuries as well as the constant challenge each patient brings.

Having just moved to Colorado Springs from Knoxville, Tennessee, Alaina is busy exploring not only the local scene but also the mountains.  When not working or studying, she likes snowboarding, hiking, and going camping, in addition to cooking meals for friends and watching Tennessee football in the company of her two rescue pups, Murphy and Bailey.
