Amanda Miles, PT, DPT practices at the Academy location of Action Potential Physical Therapy. She graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Most recently, Amanda became a LSVT BIG Certified therapist for treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
Amanda especially enjoys working with patients with neurological conditions and injuries as well as patients with dizziness and vertigo. She designs treatment programs that address the patient as a whole in order to improve outcomes, reduce falls, and improve her patients overall quality of life. Amanda asserts that this approach, coupled with a great deal of patient education, improves patients’ function and increases their independence during and after therapy. Working together with her patients, she strives to ensure they are comfortable with and informed about their rehabilitation plans and goals.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, Amanda enjoys watching Chicago sports, as well as hiking, kayaking and camping. She looks forward to exploring Colorado Springs and its surrounding areas in her free time.
