Donald Bost, ATC, a certified athletic trainer and industrial evaluation and rehabilitation specialist, works at the Downtown location of Action Potential Physical Therapy. Don earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. He also studied Exercise Physiology at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Don is a member of the National Athletic Training Association. Additionally, Don is certified in the Blankenship Functional Capacity Evaluation System.
Don’s breadth of experience in sports performance and worksite safety makes him an invaluable member of the Action Potential team. Prior to joining Action Potential, Don worked as an Ergonomics Specialist and as an Athletic Trainer in a variety of capacities. While with the At A Glance Corporation, in Sydney, New York, he was integral in helping the company receive a grant for creating its Ergonomics Program. There he performed employee ergonomic assessments and conducted worksite safety evaluations. At present, Don not only does ergonomic assessments, worksite evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and pre-placement screenings, but he also provides outstanding patient care, helping individuals to improve their strength and conditioning.
Don is very active and involved both professionally and personally. In addition to his responsibilities with Action Potential, Don is the head boys’ basketball coach for Evangelical Christian Academy. There, he also directs several sports performance programs and uses his expertise to help injured athletes return to action more quickly. When not coaching or working, Don enjoys spending time with his wife and their five children.
