Rachel Powell, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist practicing at the Downtown Action Potential clinic. Rachel holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree earned at the University of Colorado-Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. She also has a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
Filled with enthusiasm and a passion for helping people, Rachel prides herself in providing high quality, truly individualized care and revels in the constant challenge each patient brings. She tailors her style and techniques to each individual using a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and neuromuscular re-education to improve both functional mobility and quality of life for patients.
Rachel’s passion for patients extends beyond the walls of Action Potential. In addition to practicing as a physical therapist during the week, Rachel volunteers as a boxing coach for “Power Punch Parkinson's” on the weekends. Through the vehicle of boxing, she assists individuals with Parkinson’s Disease in increasing focus and improving strength and balance.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys camping, hiking and going on runs with her two dogs named Gunner and Sunny.
